We are a new and innovative health club in need of personal trainers to assist our clients in reaching their fitness objectives. As the Spin Cycle Instructor, you will coach indoor cycling participants. The Spin Cycle Instructor will lead members, in a group environment, through pre-arranged formats of exercise designed to enhance overall fitness, strength and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised. The Spinning Instructor may also serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness.
Responsibilities
- Be an entertainer and offer fun and educational cycling classes to keep members happy and motivated to achieve their personal fitness goals
- Meet class attendance goals and complete administrative duties
- Use digital, current, and appropriate music
- Provides great customer service by responding to members' needs and developing relationships with them through fun indoor cycling classes and engaging conversations before and after classes
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months teaching experience in a spinning format
- CPR and AED certified within 3 months of hire
- Nationally recognized Indoor Cycle Instructor, Training or Coaching Certification (Schwinn Cycling or Stages, Mad Dogg Spinning, Les Mills)
- Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class
- Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to lift light weights, bending, squatting, jumping, running, reaching, walking, hopping, spinning and kicking.
