Forklift Operator / General Labor Worker – Warehouse Operations
Job Summary:
A reliable and safety-conscious warehouse professional responsible for operating forklifts and performing general labor duties to support efficient daily operations. Experienced in material handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Committed to workplace safety, productivity, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets with precision and care.
- Move, stack, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform manual labor tasks including lifting, sorting, packing, labeling, and palletizing products.
- Prepare orders for shipment and verify incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Inspect products for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues.
- Keep warehouse facilities clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
- Support supervisors and team members to meet daily productivity goals.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification (if required).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic math, documentation, and communication skills.
