Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant – DevOps opening for our client in Jersey City, NJ.

Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 3 months

Duties:

• Analyze the client’s IT environment to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements using DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies in both traditional and cloud environments.

• Prepare gap analysis documents and design proposed DevSecOps automation adoption roadmaps covering both development and operations from requirements through solution implementation.

• Architect DevSecOps tooling infrastructure and define interface requirements among various integrated tool sets and DevSecOps platforms.

• Provide mentorship to DevOps engineers and support project delivery across the Solution/Build/Test/Deploy lifecycle and Application Performance Management.

• Conduct research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and market developments to inform project and solution offerings.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of DevOps practices with business objectives.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in DevOps and DevSecOps tools and methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms.

• Hands-on experience with automation, orchestration, and configuration management tools.

• Familiarity with both traditional IT and cloud-based application environments.

• Ability to design, integrate, and maintain DevOps toolchains and platforms.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design skills.

• Excellent mentoring and communication skills to guide technical teams.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a DevOps/DevSecOps consultant, engineer, or architect.

• Experience in implementing DevOps practices in enterprise environments.

• Track record of successfully delivering automation solutions and DevOps adoption roadmaps.

• Experience in application performance monitoring, build/test/deploy lifecycle, and cloud infrastructure.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud, or Security practices are preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $115,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
