Our Summer Internship Program
An internship with us gives you the opportunity to work side by side with passionate problem solvers on powerful and fulfilling work. Our collaborative culture inspires you to learn from the expertise surrounding you and to share your own knowledge and experience with colleagues. You’ll be asked to speak up and challenge the status quo – you have a voice and will be encouraged to use it.
Additionally, over the summer, there will be opportunities to participate in events just for our interns: social events with other interns, career development workshops, community service projects, and networking with senior leaders – just to name a few!
Job Summary
The Strategic Insights team enhances the way in which Syneos Health shows up in front of commercial customers, by providing strategic insights derived from research, data analysis, and internal collaboration. Our Intern will support these efforts by conducting secondary research, pulling data in support of analytical models, and communicating findings to the broader Strategic Insights team. They will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact with a fast-moving team while learning about what a career in pharma could look like.
- Utilize secondary data sources (e.g. claims data, prescription data, program activity data, etc.) to contribute to strategy development.
- Support the analysis of key business metrics such as brand performance, market dynamics, competitive landscaping, opportunity targeting, and asset segmentation.
- Transform raw data into clear, actionable insights contributing to data modeling, interpretation and storytelling.
- Prepare reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate insights to internal stakeholders, ensuring insights are clear, relevant and decision-oriented.
- Act as a valuable member of the Strategic Insights team by sharing lessons learned and applying best practices related to industry trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and eagerness to develop new skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other querying language
- Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or market research coursework or internships
Candidates must be a minimum of a Rising Junior and currently enrolled full time in Spring/Summer or Spring/Fall ’26 semesters. The Commercial Summer Intern Program runs from May 18, 2026 to August 7, 2026 and all positions will work full time (up to 40 hours per week).
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $24-$28/hr. and will vary based on the candidate’s semesters completed in school.
