A well-established, family-owned neighborhood tavern in Eastampton, NJ is hiring a full-time Kitchen Manager to lead back-of-house operations. This role is ideal for a BOH leader who values consistency, teamwork, and a respectful kitchen culture while running a busy scratch kitchen.

The kitchen is known for fresh seafood, steaks, and made-from-scratch dishes , served in a community-focused tavern environment with supportive ownership.

Schedule

• Full-time
• 5 days per week
• Nights and weekends required

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily back-of-house operations in a busy neighborhood tavern
• Manage ordering, receiving, vendor communication, and inventory
• Maintain food quality, recipe accuracy, and portion consistency
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe preferred)
• Train, schedule, and motivate a BOH team of 5–10 employees
• Keep the kitchen organized, efficient, and guest-focused

What You Bring

• Prior BOH leadership experience (Kitchen Manager, Chef, Sous Chef, or Lead Line Cook)
• Strong scratch-kitchen and recipe execution skills
• Experience with inventory, ordering, and food cost awareness
• Calm, organized, and respectful leadership style
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts
• Reliable work history and professional communication
