Position Summary

(Confidential Client) is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join our team in Edison, NJ (with additional approved locations in Melville, NY and Iselin, NJ) on a hybrid basis. As a member of our corporate tax practice, you'll work on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting projects. You'll engage with multiple clients, collaborate with tax specialists including our Washington National Tax Office, and help manage client relationships while delivering quality tax services with strong support from our team.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum four to seven years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience
• CPA or JD with active law license (required)
• Experience in corporate income tax
• Strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills

Primary Functions

• Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects and managing to budget
• Supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates and interns on tax projects; assess performance and conduct engagement reviews
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to sell services to existing and potential clients
• Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities
• Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements
• Research and consult on various tax matters using tax-related software to prepare and process returns
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS, State, and other tax authorities
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels
• Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives to support engagements
• Attend professional development and training sessions regularly
• Adhere to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality
