Mechanical/Construction project Manager - 120-150k PLUS BONUS AND CAR ALLOWANCE

3-5 Years of experience preferred, but recent graduates seeking a career path in construction will be considered. (Must have a degree in engineering, construction management or similar)

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to oversee multiple mechanical construction projects ranging from $500K to $5M. The ideal candidate will have experience managing mechanical, HVAC, or process piping work in industrial or healthcare environments, and be comfortable collaborating with engineers, field teams, and clients from concept through completion.

This position reports directly to senior operations leadership and will work closely with the company’s prefabrication and QA/QC teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple mechanical construction projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate project scheduling, purchasing, and field execution.
• Serve as the primary customer interface, maintaining strong relationships with GCs, owners, and design teams.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders and manage project financials.
• Oversee integration with prefabrication and QA/QC teams.
• Review design models and drawings (familiarity with BIM Level 4 / 3D coordination strongly preferred).
• Utilize project management and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Travel as needed to active job sites throughout northern and central New Jersey (occasional trips to the Hudson Valley).

Qualifications

• 3–7 years’ experience managing industrial or commercial mechanical construction projects.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Construction Management , or related field preferred.
• Experience with process piping, HVAC, or plumbing in pharma, healthcare, or industrial settings.
• Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and job costing systems; familiarity with MS Project or Primavera required.
• Knowledge of BIM/design coordination concepts.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Not a fit: Candidates whose experience is limited to NYC high-rise, multifamily, or commercial office projects.

• Base Salary: $125,000–$140,000 (up to $150K for top candidates)
