As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. **What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies and guidelines, as well as responding to emergencies as needed.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations within the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
+ Monitor access points and verify that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas, in accordance with established protocols.
+ Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and document any unusual activities or security-related issues encountered during patrols.
+ Engage with visitors, employees, and/or contractors to provide assistance, information, and directions as required.
+ Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders if situations escalate or as directed by site procedures.
+ Remain alert to potential security-related threats or hazards and promptly communicate any concerns to Allied Universal management or site contacts.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
+ An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
