Key Responsibilities

• Patient Preventive Care: Perform thorough, gentle dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and comprehensive periodontal assessments.
• Diagnostic Documentation: Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photos, performing thorough screenings for oral cancer and periodontal disease.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on personalized home-care techniques, nutritional counseling, and preventative strategies in a warm, non-judgmental manner.
• Collaborative Charting: Partner closely with the dentist to document clinical findings, update medical histories, and discuss comprehensive treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Licensing: Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of New Jersey.
• Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification; local anesthesia permit is highly valued but not required.
