The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Tradesman's primary responsibilities include completion of safety inspections and preventative maintenance routines on facilities related equipment and systems, casualty loss prevention, corrective maintenance tasks and all other general maintenance duties as may be assigned by the Director of Plant Engineering or his designee. The position will respond to all emergency situations expected of the Maintenance staff and the department.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Trade school in one or more of the following crafts: HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, general maintenance or at least 5 years’ experience in one of the stated crafts above

Certifications/Licenses:

• N/A

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time
• 8am-4pm, every other weekend
• Flexibility of working holidays/floating schedules

Essential Functions:

• Completion of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Ensures all work is completed according to regulatory requirements
• Participates in and helps in the preparation and continuous maintenance readiness of the hospital
• Ensures all work is completed according to regulatory requirements.
• Properly open and close work orders in a timely manner.
• Evaluate and schedule work to meet management’s priorities as well standard hospital priorities.
• Ensure the safe set-up and execution of all work.
