We are looking for a Server to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.
The Server is responsible for meeting the needs of Members and Guests during their dining experience. They will assist in serving, set-up, and clean-up of the corresponding Food & Beverage outlet. A fast-paced position that involves constant customer interaction live without.
Essential Functions:
- Attend pre-function meetings
- Provide immediate attention to all Members & Guests
- Demonstrate ability to accurately describe menu items, specials, drinks etc.
- Ensure Members and Guests are enjoying their experience and take necessary actions to correct if needed
- Communicate respectfully and professionally to Members and coworkers
- Clean all assigned work areas
- Wipe down tables, chairs, counters, etc.
- Assist with any closing functions such as folding napkins, putting away/polishing glassware, utensils, etc.
- Pour/refill beverages for Guests
- Write Guest's food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff
- Accurately place orders in POS system
- Run food or drinks if necessary
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow employees as situations arise
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Education/Experience:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Previous serving experience is preferred but not a must
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry trays/objects weighing up 30+ pounds through a crowded room
- Ability to handle many tasks at once
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe and lift to perform job functions
- Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
- Must be able to work day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays
Safety Hazards:
- General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas
- Lifting of heavy objects such as kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc.,
- Handling of sharp objects such as flatware
