Job Summary

The Total Rewards Team manages disability, health, retirement, pension, and compensation programs for employees and retirees across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. This role leads the administration of U.S. health and welfare and retirement benefits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless program delivery. It also supports employee education, vendor coordination, and high-quality customer service across the organization.
Job Description
- Health & Welfare Programs (20%)
- Build relationships with internal and external benefit plan providers to ensure accuracy and positive employee experience.
- Support the development and delivery of employee education on total rewards programs.
- Provide guidance to internal teams regarding benefit program rules and assist in resolving issues.
- Manage benefit enrollments, changes, and qualifying events within HRIS; reconcile vendor files and invoices.
- Monitor eligibility, plan limits, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Respond to employee benefits inquiries and manage escalated concerns.
- Assist with ACA compliance, including determining eligibility and supporting 1095-C generation.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements to ensure policy compliance.
- Manage and monitor active employee and retiree inquiries for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure accurate benefit vendor and HRIS file processing.
- Retirement Plan Administration (60%)
- Support daily administration of U.S. qualified and non-qualified pension and 401(k) plans, including benefit payments and FICA taxation.
- Monitor employee and retiree inquiries and coordinate timely resolution.
- Support administration of spending accounts (HSA, FSA) and the Employer Stock Purchase Program.
- Assist internal and external auditors with disability leave management audits.
- Review interface outputs to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- HR Processes & Projects (20%)
- Partner with internal and external teams to implement process improvements.
- Support system maintenance, upgrades, and testing.
- Assist with communication and rollout of new or updated benefit programs, including annual enrollment.
- Interpret policies, procedures, and regulations for stakeholders.
- Recommend improvements aligned with business needs and compliance requirements.
- Complete monthly and annual compliance reporting.
- Participate in team meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Preferred:
- Experience with Workday, SAP, and/or Kronos
- Strong MS Excel and/or Access skills
- PHR, SPHR, or similar HR certifications
- Experience in benefits, consulting, benefits transformation, or total rewards
Skills Required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in employee benefits administration.
- Experience handling employee inquiries related to Health & Welfare, Retirement, and Leave of Absence programs.
- Ability to interpret and navigate plan documents (e.g., SPDs) to provide accurate guidance.
- Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills.
- Customer-focused approach.
Education/Training/Certifications
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience (year-for-year).
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift : 08 :00 AM
- Occasional travel up to twice per year, with additional travel as business needs arise.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $57.00 to $65.18 per hour based on qualifications.
