Step into a second-shift role where precision matters. At Weiss-Aug, a U.S. and Mexico-based leader in advanced manufacturing for over 50 years, you will help ensure the quality behind high-volume metal stamping, thermoplastic molding, and value-added assemblies powering medical, aerospace & defense, automotive, interconnect, telecommunications, and consumer goods applications.

Your Shift

2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

A Day in the Life

You arrive on the floor, open the control plan, and set up your gauges. Throughout the shift you perform meticulous visual and mechanical inspections against drawings, spec sheets, and procedures. When priorities change, you pivot quickly—expediting checks so production keeps moving without compromising standards. You partner with die setters, engineers, and managers to clarify specs and communicate findings clearly, both in writing and verbally. Nonconforming parts get quarantined immediately; you record transactions in the ERP system, keep inspection forms complete and organized, and assemble data packages to release shipments. You also contribute to continuous improvement by helping build and update visual standards and inspection work instructions alongside senior QC Inspectors and engineering.

What You Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of inspection experience in close-tolerance manufacturing
• Solid grasp of GD&T to interpret part specifications accurately
• Hands-on skill with metrology tools: hand gauges, microscopes, comparators
• Strong organization habits and a clean, orderly workspace
• Comfort with computers and the ability to learn systems quickly
• Ability to adopt Microsoft and Adobe software to create critical quality documents

Compensation

Pay Range: $22–$25/hr

Pay transparency: Base pay is determined case-by-case based on job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal equity. If your compensation expectations exceed the posted range, we still invite you to apply.
