We’re Hiring a Family Ministry Director!
Do you have a passion for helping young people grow in faith, explore their gifts, and feel connected in community? Are you creative, collaborative, and ready to help shape meaningful ministry in an inclusive and vibrant church?
Morristown United Methodist Church (Morristown, NJ) is hiring a Part-Time Family Ministry Director (20 hours/week) to lead ministry with children, youth, and families. This is a flexible and rewarding position that combines creativity, relational ministry, and organizational leadership.
As Family Ministry Director, you'll help create a welcoming, faith-filled environment where young people and families can encounter God through worship, service, arts, storytelling, and community life. You’ll collaborate with the Senior Pastor and lay leaders to discern and implement meaningful programs—such as music and arts camps, youth groups, dinner church, and more.
What You’ll Do:
- Get to know kids and families by name—and by heart
- Lead Sunday morning children’s formation and nursery care
- Support and equip volunteers
- Help youth take next steps in their faith journeys
- Design events that nurture spiritual growth and connection
- Create engaging content for digital and in-person ministry
- Foster inclusion, compassion, and creativity in everything
Ideal Candidate Has:
- Experience in children/youth/family ministry
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Love for diverse, intergenerational church life
- A collaborative spirit and Christian faith
💼 Compensation: $25,000 per year (benefits negotiable)
