Tamil Studio Producer (Consultant - Onsite)

Productive Playhouse is seeking a detail-oriented Studio Producer to support onsite audio production during a 2–3 month engagement in India. This role is responsible for ensuring studio recording sessions run efficiently, meet daily productivity targets, and remain on schedule and within budget.
The Studio Producer will collaborate closely with the Studio Project Manager and broader production team to ensure complex script requirements are translated into clear, actionable direction for voice talent. This role also ensures recording materials are meticulously organized to maximize session flow and coordinates real-time troubleshooting related to talent availability, technical issues, or other production disruptions.
In partnership with the project manager and production team, the Studio Producer will help drive seamless workflows, monitor productivity ratios to ensure daily targets are met, and provide regular reporting to both onsite and remote stakeholders, including senior management.
This position requires onsite presence at production studio in Bangalore. Candidates must be bilingual in English and the following language, aligned with the corresponding studio location:
- Tamil – Bangalore Studio
- Monitor studio recording sessions and production workflows to drive achievement of agreed-upon daily productivity ratios for audio deliverables.
- Ensure complex audio script requirements are translated into clear, actionable guidance that voice talent can readily execute.
- Collaborate with the Studio Project Manager and production stakeholders to confirm schedule adherence and budget alignment.
- Review audio scripts, guidelines, and reference materials to confirm they are set up and organized to enhance recording session efficiency and session flow.
- Coordinate issue resolution with onsite production stakeholders to address real-time challenges, including talent availability issues, technical disruptions, or recording interruptions.
- Support seamless production workflows by coordinating with the project manager and broader production team.
- Conduct regular project download sessions with senior management to provide workflow updates, productivity analysis, risk flags, and forward-looking projections.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates to agreed-upon tracking tools, metrics, and reporting documentation to assess productivity and schedule performance.
- Perform services onsite for a 2–3 month engagement at the Bangalore production studio located in Bangalore, India as required to meet project deliverables.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in audio production, studio operations, and/or production management.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex scripts, workflows, and production requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including voice talent, engineers, and senior leadership.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and the following language aligned with studio production needs:
- Tamil
- Tamil
- 5+ Years Experience in audio production, film, media management, production or related fields.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications (not required)
- Experience with ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) and audio re-recording processes to support voice matching and audio consistency.
- Degree or formal training in Audio Engineering, Film, Media Management, or a related field.
Engagement Requirements (Contract Role)
- This is a short-term, project-based contract engagement requiring onsite presence at designated production studios in India.
- The Studio Producer will provide their own professional expertise, judgment, and methods to meet agreed-upon production deliverables.
- Availability must align with studio production schedules to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Contractor is responsible for maintaining the focus and stamina required to support intensive production periods as needed to meet project objectives
