Duties:
- Assist orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for orthodontic procedures.
- Perform patient assessments, including taking digital scans, dental impressions and X-rays.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures, such as fitting braces, adjusting wires, and placing elastics, delivering aligners, etc.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and patient records.
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating orthodontic appliances.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment.
-Answering phones and scheduling patients is part of the job expectations
-Maintain retainer, aligner, and appliance inventory is also part of the job expectations.
- NEED TO WORK IN both PRINCETON AND WEST WINDSOR OFFICE LOCATIONS
Requirements:
-Experience working in as an orthodontic setting preferred treating children and adults.
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or orthodontic assistant training.
- X-ray certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
