Job Description:
We are seeking a confident, safety-focused, and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Lafayette, NJ. This position primarily involves operating an outdoor forklift in a steel yard environment, handling large steel beams and supporting warehouse operations as needed. Candidates should be dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate an outdoor forklift safely and efficiently in a yard environment
- Move and transport steel beams up to 45 feet long
- Assist with packing, pulling, and staging materials as needed
- Load and unload materials while following safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
Requirements:
- Previous forklift experience in a yard, lumber, steel, or outdoor industrial environment required
- Comfortable handling oversized materials and working outdoors
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs as needed
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Hours: 7am-3:30pm (with OT sometimes) Temp to perm full time
Pay: $20-$21
