CAD Designer/Steel Detailer
Responsibilities: - Work closely with Account Managers to develop custom design and detailing of various industrial components such as platforms, stairs, railings, crossovers, weldments, and sheet metal components - Collaborate with internal team members, external engineers, and project managers to ensure design accuracy - Review construction drawings and take-off structural steel and misc. metals components for pricing/detailing - Review project specifications and make necessary adjustments to designs - Prepare shop drawings and erection drawings, and coordinate with production teams - Conduct site visits as needed to gather information for detailing - Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Requirements: - Must have 2+ years of college/trade school education in AutoCAD, OR 3+ years of experience in this field of work - Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required - Knowledge of SDS/2, Advance Steel, or Tekla is a plus - Strong understanding of steel detailing practices and standards - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Familiarity with construction processes and terminology #ZRCHRecommended Jobs
