About us:

Bailey Blue is a fast fashion Young contemporary knit/woven fashion company located in DTLA.

We are seeking an Associate Designer who who will work under the creative director. We are looking for someone who is strong in designing dresses and sportswear and is able to take direction and work closely with private label accounts.

The candidate must be able to handle a variety of design and preproduction functions, be a team player, and have a good attitude. This candidate must be able to work with a small tight knit team and be able to wear many hats including designing, cadding, tagging garments, making their own tech packs, and sending out packages.

• Must have superior organizational skills and effective time management
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous, and creative
• Must be able to wear many different hats in a fast paced environment
• Concept and research development for seasonal deliveries
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, colorways, sewing techniques, fabrics and trim
• Update line sheets and facilitate work-flow as needed
• Develop CAD illustrations for artwork and re-colorations through Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
• Attend fittings and keep records as related to updated styles and tech packages
• Evaluate and maintain pertinent files and records, databases and other records
• Review Sketches with Director and create tech packages
• Work with pattern maker and sample room to create mock ups on fabric that will translate to real, dimensional garments
• Sourcing and approval of fabric samples, lab dips, strike-off's and other development materials

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator- Strong understanding of garment construction and product lifecycle management- Experience in fashion retail and merchandising- Knowledge of color theory and graphic design- Excellent communication and organizational skills- Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
