Job Title: Legal Assistant The Federal Appeals Firm
Location: 180 Tices Lane, Suite 204-A, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: $22 per hour About the RoleThe Federal Appeals Firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our team. This role will provide critical support to our paralegals and attorneys in handling Social Security disability federal court appeals. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. The anticipated starting date is at the end of August. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist paralegals with the preparation and formatting of pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
- Manage filing and service of court documents through electronic filing systems.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with clients regarding case updates, required information, and scheduling.
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the legal team, including data entry, scanning, and document management.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and courts as needed.
- Prior legal or administrative support experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Full-time position (MondayFriday)
- $22 per hour
