Position Overview
The Automotive Body Shop Painter is responsible for refinishing damaged vehicles, restoring them to their pre-accident condition by following repair orders accurately and efficiently. This role supports the dealership's commitment to speed, quality, and customer satisfaction in every repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Refinish damaged vehicle body parts according to factory and dealership quality standards within specified timeframes.
- Operate body shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Remove rust, grease, and dirt from metal surfaces before refinishing.
- Prepare surfaces for paint using manual and power sanding tools.
- Mix paint to match manufacturer color specifications precisely.
- Apply paint using sprayers or brushes as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Wear appropriate safety and protective gear during all tasks.
- Comply with all laws and regulations related to paint materials and hazardous substances.
- Collaborate with team members to assist in vehicle repair and preparation as needed.
