Tax Supervisor
Kforce's client, a regional CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Supervisor in Parsippany, NJ. This firm offers a great work life balance, annual bonus, good benefits along with the opportunity to advance. This role can work up to 1 day remote. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and high-net worth individuals, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Identify and assist with tax planning opportunities, provide consulting services to clients, and participate in client management
- Conduct tax research and draft memoranda on technical issues
- Manage multiple client engagements independently and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
- Communicate with clients and tax authorities regarding tax matters and controversies
- Collaborate with audit and advisory teams for integrated client service; Supervise, mentor, and train staff and seniors
- Participate in firm enhancement, marketing efforts, and various projects and initiatives beyond core responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation preferred. Proficiency in tax software (CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Office
- CPA is a plus (or going for a CPA)
- 4-7 years of public accounting tax experience with a focus on tax compliance and planning
- Strong understanding of tax laws and accounting principles
