The per diem registered professional nurse possesses knowledge of theory and practice in order to diagnose and treat the human responses to actual or potential physical and emotional health problems,

The seven domains of professional nursing practice are rendered in accordance with the nursing process which includes the assessment of patients, identification of problems and strengths, the planning and enactment of interventions and the evaluation and documentation of methods and outcomes of the nursing care provided,

This process includes the involvement of the patient's significant others and is in collaboration with physicians and those of other disciplines,

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on his or her assigned unit,

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of New Jersey or a graduate of an accredited school with eligibility for licensure,

Experience:

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital employs Graduate Nurses in all clinical areas except in the Operating Room Service, Renal Dialysis, Employee Health, Ambulatory Care Service, Cardiodynamics, Home Car, and Special Procedures,

These areas require 1-2 years of prior clinical practice,

Areas that treat children outside of the children's center include Perinatal, Renal Dialysis, Special Procedures, Home Care, Ambulatory Care Services, the Emergency Department and the Operating Room Services,

These areas require prior experience with children and adolescents or training during orientation,
