Manager, Plant Engineering – Medical Device Manufacturing

This isn’t a maintenance job—you’ll drive automation, scale processes, and directly impact production, quality, and business outcomes . What You’ll Own:

• Full plant engineering accountability: manufacturing, extrusion, injection molding, converting, machine shop, and technical teams
• Automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Facilities, infrastructure, and site performance, including safety leadership as the Company Safety Officer
• Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations
• Capital planning, projects, and plant expansion

Manager, Plant Engineering – Medical Device Manufacturing Core Responsibilities:

• Lead plant engineering and manufacturing process development (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues on the floor
• Ensure compliance with FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001
• Drive automation, cost reduction, and performance improvements
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team

Who You Are:

• Hands-on, strategic engineering leader with ownership mentality
• Experienced in regulated manufacturing environments, preferably medical devices
• Skilled in automation, process scaling, and capital projects
• Strong collaborator and communicator across functions
• Comfortable driving change in a fast-moving, resource-conscious environment

Manager, Plant Engineering – Medical Device Manufacturing Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or related)
• 7+ years in manufacturing/process/plant engineering, 2+ years in leadership role.
• Experience with injection molding and/or extrusion preferred
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, CAD (SolidWorks), ERP systems
• AI and 3D printing experience a plus
