Controller Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, financial reporting, and customer membership programs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations, and maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support the company's growth objectives and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor performance metrics, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
• Oversee the annual financial audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure timely completion and compliance with audit requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems, processes, and reporting, leveraging technology to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Design, implement and own an inventory process and manage P2P process.
• Oversee Big Box retailer programs – invoicing and payments as well as monthly auditing
• Manage installation coordinators and audit batches to ensure accuracy and timely financing submissions
• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for a distributed workforce
• Maintain compliance payroll records and reporting ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation

Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, preferably in a service industry environment.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing a finance team.
