Total Compensation: $20/hr - $27/hr

We're seeking a detail-oriented billing professional to join a busy, fast-paced specialty medical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong insurance billing knowledge who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely reimbursement while supporting exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

• Investigate and resolve insurance claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to identify payment issues and determine appropriate next steps.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve billing concerns and expedite claim processing.
• Maintain accurate billing documentation while ensuring compliance with payer guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to improve claim accuracy and reimbursement.
• Prioritize multiple accounts while meeting productivity and collection goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of medical billing and insurance collections experience.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Experience working with accounts receivable and claim follow-up.
• Orthopedic or specialty practice experience is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
