PVF Procurement Specialist (Pipe, Valves, and Fittings)

Job Summary: Mid-Atlantic Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented PVF Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end purchasing process for pipe, valves, and fittings once a project is awarded. This position plays a key role in cost control, project readiness, and operational efficiency, working closely with Project Managers and the Estimating team to ensure all PVF materials are properly stripped, sourced, and tracked.

The ideal candidate brings experience in mechanical construction purchasing, preferably from a larger firm with centralized procurement processes. We're looking for someone with initiative, organization, and a sharp eye for detail—someone who's ready to improve and standardize our PVF buyout process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend project turnover meetings and coordinate with the Operations team to plan PVF buyouts
• Use FastPipe to perform takeoffs and strip PVF materials from awarded project drawings
• Cross-reference quantities with Estimating team's strip to confirm accuracy
• Issue purchase orders in phases/releases aligned with project schedule
• Build and maintain a detailed PO matrix for each project for ease of tracking and release
• Track total committed PVF purchases against budgeted amounts to help control overages
• Support project teams with PVF purchasing related to field changes and daily needs

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of procurement experience in mechanical construction or industrial supply
• Strong understanding of PVF components, vendors, and procurement strategy
• Experience using FastPipe or similar estimating software preferred
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with Estimating and Project Management teams

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
