Director Talent Acquisition & Staffing
The Director of Talent Acquisition is a global, strategic talent leader responsible for designing and delivering best in class talent acquisition solutions across Consulting, Commercial Operations, and Commercial Strategy & Solutions. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Global Recruiting Solutions, this role partners closely with the Presidents and executive leadership teams of these businesses to enable growth, transformation, and competitive advantage through exceptional hiring outcomes.
This leader will oversee a globally distributed team of recruiters and talent researchers, personally lead executive hiring, and own the strategy and governance for all contingent workers worldwide. The role blends enterprise talent leadership with deep business partnership, ensuring talent acquisition strategies directly support commercial objectives and long term capability needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Business Leadership
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to the Presidents of Consulting, Commercial Operations, and Commercial Strategy & Solutions, aligning talent acquisition strategies with global business plans and commercial priorities
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President of Global Recruiting Solutions to shape and execute enterprise wide recruiting strategies
- Translate workforce plans, growth strategies, and capability requirements into proactive, scalable talent acquisition roadmaps
- Provide executive leaders with market intelligence, talent insights, and competitive analyses to inform decision making
Global Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution
- Lead the end to end global talent acquisition strategy for Consulting and Commercial businesses, spanning permanent, executive, and contingent hiring
- Drive workforce planning, demand forecasting, and hiring prioritization across regions and functions
- Develop innovative sourcing and research strategies for scarce, high impact, and future critical skill sets
- Ensure a consistent, high quality candidate experience and strong employer brand across all geographies
Executive & Critical Talent Hiring
- Personally lead and oversee executive level recruitment, including confidential and succession critical searches
- Partner with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and Total Rewards on executive selection, assessment, and offer strategy
- Ensure rigorous, equitable, and compliant executive hiring practices globally
Contingent Workforce Leadership
- Own the global strategy, governance, and optimization of the contingent workforce, including contractors and temporary labor
- Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and HR to ensure compliance, cost effectiveness, and vendor performance
- Implement scalable contingent workforce models that balance flexibility, speed, and risk management
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, develop, and inspire a global team of Talent Acquisition Managers, Recruiters and Talent Researchers
- Establish clear performance expectations, career paths, and development frameworks within the Talent Acquisition organization
- Build a high performance, inclusive culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Ensure global consistency in recruiting processes while enabling regional market flexibility
- Leverage recruiting technology, analytics, and dashboards to measure performance and drive continuous improvement
- Manage TA budgets and resource allocation in partnership with the SVP of Global Recruiting Solutions
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, data privacy regulations, and enterprise policies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including 7+ years of senior leadership in a global or multi country model required.
- Proven experience supporting Consulting, Professional Services, Commercial Life Sciences, or highly matrixed pharmaceutical services business.
- Demonstrated success as a strategic advisor to Presidents and executive leadership teams
- Extensive experience leading executive recruitment and global, complex searches
- Strong expertise in contingent workforce strategies and global labor models
- Experience building and leading high performing, globally distributed team of TA Managers, Recruiters and TA Researchers.
- North America based role with Northeast US preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $195,000 to $235,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
