7AM-3:30PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our manufacturing team in Butler, NJ. This role is responsible for receiving, moving, labeling, and organizing raw bar stock materials while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on position that offers the opportunity to learn CNC machinery operations and grow within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Unload bar stock from delivery trucks using an overhead crane
• Receive incoming materials and complete receiving documentation
• Chamfer bar ends as required
• Enter data into computer systems accurately
• Print and apply material identification tags
• Label and color-code bar stock when necessary
• Load and store materials using a forklift
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
• Monitor material requirements to ensure production needs are met
• Return supplier wooden boxes and maintain organized storage areas
• Assist with locating and moving materials for production personnel
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Learn to operate CNC machinery
• Perform quality inspections on incoming materials as needed
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Overhead crane experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 75 pounds
• Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent reaching, handling, and moving materials
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
