Parts Counter Associate – Smythe Volvo

Location: Summit, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Hourly + Monthly Bonus Potential

Smythe Volvo , a well-established and customer-focused Volvo dealership, is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Parts Counter Associate to join our parts department. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for providing exceptional internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians and retail customers in selecting the correct parts and accessories

• Check inventory availability, place special orders, and follow up on deliveries

• Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and inventory movement

• Receive, unpack, and stock parts deliveries

• Keep parts department clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures

• Use parts catalog and DMS software to identify and locate parts accurately

• Communicate with service advisors to coordinate part needs for repair orders

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in an automotive parts role (dealership experience preferred)

• Working knowledge of parts catalog systems and DMS platforms (CDK, Reynolds, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Basic computer proficiency and comfortable with inventory software
