Plant HR Manager, CPG Vineland
- Collaborate with plant and commercial leadership to align HR activities with business goals and recommend improvements to policies and processes based on HR trends.
- Partner with Division HR to implement standardized HR programs while addressing plant-specific needs and deploy HR shared service delivery models to support transformational goals.
- Lead and manage HR projects and initiatives for the plant and commercial teams, participate in division-level initiatives, and oversee talent reviews, employee surveys, and action planning for the plant.
- Actively participate and partner with Corporate Employee Relations on labor relations efforts for a unionized workforce of over 200 employees, including grievance resolution, contract negotiation support, and compliance with labor laws and union agreements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity, maintaining a strong presence on the plant floor to address employee concerns.
- Mediate conflicts between employees or departments, and address disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Educate management and supervisors on required programs and processes to drive a positive work environment across plant and commercial teams.
- Identify opportunities for talent development, succession planning, and employee growth initiatives.
- Oversee performance evaluations, provide guidance to managers on employee development, address performance issues, and implement corrective actions while recognizing and rewarding employee contributions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- BS Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or Labor Relations or equivalent qualification/certification/experience
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in the HR function required
- Manufacturing and union/labor relations experience preferred
- Background in HR Management, conflict resolution, training and development, investigation skills
- Able to operate independently and drive all aspects of the HR role for the plant
- Proficient data analysis and computer skills
- HR service orientation with a strong ability and passion for balancing the needs of the company, business, and our employees
