Accounting Services Representative I- Finance- Full Time

About the Role

The Accounting Services Representative I reports to the Accounting Services Manager and is responsible for supporting the daily processing of vendor invoices according to the company’s policies, practices, and procedures. This is an entry-level role designed to provide training and experience in accounts payable and/or inventory control functions while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.



Position Responsibilities

• Receive, review & enter invoices into the accounting system
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts for accuracy
• Assist with preparing vendor payments (checks, ACH or wires)
• Respond to routine vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoice or payment status
• Maintain accurate and organized records and files
• Collaborate with team members and/or vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Ensure timely processing of invoices to meet payment deadlines
• Assist team with physical inventories when needed
• Review vendor statements, research discrepancies and communicate with vendors to resolve open issues
• Complete directives by management team as assigned

Essential Functions

• Keen attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies

• The ability to speak, read and write in English
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of personnel in various positions
• Communicating with vendors to resolve any issues or disputes in relation to invoices or payments.
• Accurately entering and coding of invoices in accordance with the general ledger accounts

• 1+ years of accounting, finance, or business experience; gained through education and/or experience
• Specific experience in accounts payable preferred
• Computer skills required; technology savvy: Microsoft, Stratton Warren IP and Great Plains experience desired
• Organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and follow directions appropriately
• Must be able to effectively communicate In English
• Ability to stand for multiple hours during physical inventory and be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
