The shift supervisor is a driving force in ensuring that store operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is passionate and dedicated to the growth and well-being not only of the shop, but of themselves as well as team members. They possess a love of ice cream and are motivated to educate the greater good about it!
Requirements:
- Works alongside management to enact store policies and delegates tasks to dip experts
- Is a point of contact for coworkers and customers alike to field out any questions
- Makes change for the register when necessary
- Assists Shop Leader with inventory when applicable
- Holds ServSafe and Allergen certifications applicable to local health jurisdictions
- Leads in service to deliver a superlative ice cream experience to every guest that walks through our doors by following all safety and quality standards
- Maintains a working knowledge of our ice cream catalog and ingredients, directing guests to thoughtful choices while minding allergy concerns
- Shares a love of clean and tidy spaces and an eagerness to keep them that way by following daily and weekly cleaning tasks
- Owns their shift checklist - opening, closing, and/or side work tasks
- Responsible for filing the Closing Note and cash sheet and any cash discrepancies that may occur during the shift
- Engages with guests through conversation and answers any questions they may have about flavors or our history
- Draws energy from fast-paced, busy service and working in a tight team, maintaining open communication
- Has open availability including evenings, weekends, & holidays and effectively communicates with shop manager about time off requests or scheduling concerns
- Can stand on their feet for long periods of time and performs physically demanding tasks in appropriately-distanced proximity to team members
