YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU:

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of first and second language acquisition theory and apply it to create effective learning experiences
• Design and deliver engaging English language development lessons that meet diverse learning styles and needs
• Collaborate seamlessly with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure ELL achievement across all content areas
• Administer and analyze formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and drive instruction
• Reflect cultural awareness and acceptance, honoring the diverse backgrounds of students and families
• Serve as a passionate advocate for limited English speaking students throughout the school system
• Act as a vital liaison between school and home, building bridges across cultural and linguistic differences
• Analyze student comprehension and writing regularly, adapting lessons to maximize learning outcomes
• Partner with department and grade level teams on content and instructional strategies that support all learners
• Build authentic, positive relationships that make students feel seen, valued, and heard
• Collaborate with families to ensure appropriate resources and support are available for each child's learning journey
• Demonstrate the commitment, positive attitude, and strong work ethic essential to our mission
• Exhibit an inner drive for personal and professional excellence that inspires students to reach their highest potential

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (minimum requirement)
• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility (we provide guidance on full certification)
• Proof of passing required PRAXIS tests
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively across lines of difference
• Mastery of ESL/ELL subject matter content and best practices
• Team-oriented mindset with high expectations for student success
• Understanding of child development and second language learning patterns
