Shipping Lead
The Shipping Lead will support the shipping department staff and ensure an efficient level of performance is met to achieve key departmental targets.
Requirements
- Lead the shipping associate team, including training and assigning tasks
- Coordinate and prioritize daily shipping activities to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
- Coordinate the loading of shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety regulations.
- Organize shipping docks and staging freight while maintaining safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Ensure all shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, customs documents, and shipping manifests, are accurately completed and filed.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (CloudX) to manage shipping levels effectively.
- Generate and maintain shipping reports, including metrics related to on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, and inventory levels.
- Address any shipping-related issues promptly and effectively, finding solutions to delays or disruptions in the shipping process.
- Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to resolve shipping -related customer inquiries and ensure timely and accurate order processing.
- Promote a culture of safety within the shipping department, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with housekeeping and organization responsibilities for the work area.
- Provide coaching on work improvement to staff needing help with productivity.
- Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- One to two years of related warehouse experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Must be in good standing, no progressive discipline in the last 6 months; no EFR Level 1 or 2 notices.
- Previous experience as a leader is preferred
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Basis English proficiency is required.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Ability to work overtime as business needs dictates.

Physical Requirements
- Work regularly to lift and/or move objects 10-30 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time including stair climbing
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting and kneeling are required to retrieve and stock products at various heights.
- May be required to climb ladders or stairs to access products stored on higher shelves.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks, such as packing, sorting, or labeling, with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Must be able to tolerate fluctuations in facility temperatures
- Must be able to tolerate an occasional high noise volume environment that includes speakers, fans, moving racks and conveyor belts.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $20.00 – $21.92 **
