We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab for a contract opportunity in Newton, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a skilled critical care nurse who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Location: Newton, NJ 07860
- Schedule: 4 days/week, 9.5-hour shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hours Per Week: 37.5
- Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
- On-Call Requirement:
- 10–12 STEMI call shifts/month
- Includes 1–2 weekends/month (Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM)
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups
- Deliver direct patient care in the Cath Lab setting
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately
- Assist with perioperative and procedural care
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery
- Maintain compliance with patient safety standards and hospital protocols
- Respond effectively in emergency situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
- Active RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (Required)
- Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
