Director, Cyber Security - Hybrid in Montvale NJ to $180,000 _ bonus

Our client develops, manufactures and markets Health and Nutrition Specialty Ingredients. It is a publicly traded company with annual revenues over $640 million and a market cap exceeding $3.0 billion. IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must have at least 6 years of cyber security experience preferably in the technology or startup type industry. Financial services then manufacturing to follow. Management experience is a must. Must have purple, blue and/or red team experience. Penetration testing is a must.
- The Director of Cyber Security will serve as the primary point of contact for all aspects of information security within the organization.
- This role involves managing a team of Cyber Security professionals, oversight of security alerts/news, and designing and implementing new security standards and protocols.
- Additionally, the Director will be responsible for framework mapping & framework management. This role will report directly to the head of Information Technology, and as such will collaborate closely in order to align goals and support strategic company initiatives.
- The incumbent will work with internal and external resources to test the safety and security of enterprise systems, including conducting penetration testing and audits.
- They will provide emergency guidance, support and assistance in response to new and emerging threats.
- Participation in various project teams to assess needs, requirements, examine benefits, and recommend IT-related solutions is critical.
- Frequent interaction with all aspects of the Information Technology Department is a key component of this role.
- Management of a team of Cyber Security engineers
- Proficient in conducting risk vs business impact analysis
- Cyber forensic & threat analysis
- Prioritizing threat alerts & response (Alerting, management, remediation)
- Recommend & assist in the implementation of security hardening methodologies
- Oversight of numerous security platforms (SIEM, EDR, Etc …)
- Ability to work as a leader, team member, and sole contributor
- Develop, design and improve IT security policies, procedures & processes across the enterprise
- Collaborate with other departments to identify needs that can be met while keeping the environment secure
- Implementation of major system changes and integrations following the corporate change management policies
- Perform security access audits and develop/implement remediation plans
- Serve as liaison between staff and the security team to resolve security related issues
- Review daily released Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures and assess against internal systems
- Follows all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards
- Soft skills such as communication, presentation, problem solving, multi-tasking and working under pressure are critical to this role.
- 6+ years of prior relevant experience
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in a Cyber Security related expertise
- People Management & Leadership experience
- Cyber Security certification(s) (CISSP / CISA / CEH)
- Experience presenting to and working with executive leadership
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity framework standards and best practices
- Forensic Cyber Security knowledge
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and abilities – particularly in the fashion of working with other department members on solutions.
