Job Title: Senior Accountant (Healthcare)
Location: Edison, NJ (08837)
Duration: 26 Weeks | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40/week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, general ledger activities, and month-end close in a healthcare setting. This role ensures GAAP compliance, resolves complex accounting issues, and supports budgeting, audits, and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet)
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Handle month-end close and post journal entries
- Manage accounts payable, vendor records, and payment processes
- Perform cash reconciliations and track transactions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP/internal controls
- Communicate with stakeholders and support special projects
- 4+ years of accounting experience (10+ preferred)
- Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills
- Experience with Excel and ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Excellent communication and ability to multitask
- Healthcare/hospital accounting experience
- Experience with PeopleSoft or Lawson
- Treasury/debt management exposure
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
