DENTAL INSURANCE CORDINATOR

About the Role:

Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a detail-oriented Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Orange, NJ! In this vital role, you'll be the bridge between our patients and their insurance providers, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience from start to finish. Responsibilities:

• Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits for new and existing patients prior to appointments
• Submit and track dental insurance claims, including primary and secondary billing
• Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals to ensure timely reimbursement
• Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and treatment estimates
• Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately within the practice management software
• Coordinate with dental staff to ensure proper procedure coding (CDT codes) and documentation
• Maintain organized records of insurance correspondence and claim statuses

Requirements:

• Prior experience in dental insurance billing, verification, or coordination strongly preferred
• Familiarity with CDT codes, EOBs, and dental claim submission processes
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and claims processing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and insurance company interactions
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy dental office environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; dental billing certification a plus
