As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial & Investment Bank – Kinexys Team, you will have an opportunity to work with a team dedicated to revolutionizing the way we do payments processing. In this role you will work in a fast paced, innovative environment, delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will get to work with products including JPMorgan Deposit Token, a way to move money quickly, easily and securely onchain and the recent launch of first ever tokenized money market fund on public blockchain.
Job responsibilities
- Handles client inquiries including ongoing engagements with JPMorgan Chase Kinexys/stakeholders
- Monitors applications and infrastructure including troubleshooting
- Manages application deployments and support infrastructure and environments
- Resolves complex incidents requiring deep technical expertise
- Supports metrics reporting, resiliency, audits and process improvements
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Programming skills using Python
- Hands on practical professional experience as DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
- Practical cloud native (AWS or any other) experience in terms of troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues and deployments
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
- Practical cloud native experience
Monitoring experience with tools as OpenSearch, Grafana, Hexagate
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Certifications in Cloud Computing (AWS or any other public cloud computing provider)
- Certification in DevOps/SRE
- Experience with AI
- Background in finance industry
