A premier healthcare setting is seeking a skilled pharmacist for an 8-week contract opportunity specializing in long-term care and mail order pharmacy services. This role offers a structured day schedule (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM), with occasional weekend shifts, providing a consistent routine within a focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and manage prescription fulfillment.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of over-usage.
• Ensure all medication supplies comply with legal regulations.
• Validate the suitability of prescribed medicines for patients.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
• Provide auxiliary patient services, including smoking cessation, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices, such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to address drug-related issues.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Valid pharmacist license from the state pharmacy board.
• Proven pharmacy experience with a preference for long-term care.
• Experience in New Jersey pharmacy operations is highly advantageous.

Location:

• Situated in a well-equipped facility in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Contract Details:

• Contract duration: 8 weeks.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with potential weekend shifts.
