Senior Camp Counselor – Lake in the Woods Day Camp

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and engage groups of campers in daily activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment

- Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises

- Mentor and support junior counselors, fostering a positive team environment

- Enforce camp rules and safety protocols consistently and effectively

- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and concerns

- Assist in planning and organizing special events and themed activities

- Maintain a clean and organized activity area and ensure equipment is used responsibly

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to motivate and inspire young campers

- Knowledge of outdoor safety procedures and first aid certification preferred

- Responsible, reliable, and adaptable with a positive attitude

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
