Registrar

The Registrar oversees student recruitment and admissions, and is responsible for achieving our enrollment goals. The foundation of a strong school-student family relationship is the care a Registrar takes guiding parents/guardians through the application and enrollment process.

Salary: $66,000-$71,000

Hours: 7:45am - 4:15pm (Fulltime, Monday-Friday)

Type: On-site, 12-month position

Location: Elementary School: 240 Ege Ave, Jersey City

Requirements

Qualifications and Critical Skills:

• Two years of college (a BA is preferred)
• Strong speaking and writing skills (whether communicating one-to one via phone or email, or speaking to groups of parents at an open-house)
• Enthusiasm, cheerfulness, empathy and patience
• Basic graphic design/skillfulness creating marketing materials (e.g., flyers, social media postings, web pages)
• A willingness to attend occasional night and Saturday events (e.g., open houses, school fairs)
• The ability to learn and master new web applications and programs
• Attention to detail and the ability to organize a significant quantity of documents and data
• The ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines
• Being a team player with a positive attitude and collaborative mindset

Experience working in school enrollment, maintaining student records, or with the following systems would be a PLUS:

• NJSMART

• Student Information Systems & Enrollment Platforms (Infinite Campus or PowerSchool)

• School Messenger Presence

• NJ Homeroom/CHE

• Google Docs & Mail Merging

• Microsoft Excel

• Payschools

• NJ Department of ED - CRDC
