Job Title: Chemist I
Location: Clark, NJ
Pay Range: $23–$25/hr
Duration: 12 Months (Potential Extension)
Shift: Standard Business Hours
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Chemist I to support product development activities, including formulation development, stability testing, and product improvements. The ideal candidate will create prototype formulas, make adjustments to meet product specifications, and provide creative solutions throughout the product development process while collaborating with cross-functional R&D teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify product formulations based on product requirements and specifications.
- Perform formula evaluations and monitor product stability.
- Troubleshoot formulation challenges and recommend improvements.
- Create prototype formulas and support product development projects.
- Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams to support innovation initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining timelines and priorities.
- Document experimental results and communicate findings effectively.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory or formulation experience (cosmetics industry preferred).
- Experience with cosmetic formulation, product testing, or stability evaluation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with computer applications and documentation tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
