Howmet Dover Casting is a world-class supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries. Howmet Dover Alloy is a world-class supplier of vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical and other high-technology industrial markets. Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Production Supervisor NDT on 1st Shift to join our Casting Facility located in Dover, New Jersey . The position will direct and motivate the manufacturing work force to produce products of high quality in the most efficient and safe manner and ensure that scheduling meets business and customer needs. Anticipated Pay Range: $80k-$100k per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc. JOB SUMMARY This position will be responsible for performing an assortment of tasks in a highly engineered manufacturing environment and provide leadership and strategic guidance for the achievement of operational goals. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of three years of experience as team/group leadership experience in manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution;
- This position is subject to the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (I.T.A.R.) which requires U.S. persons status. ITAR defines U.S. persons as U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or refugee;
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Internal Candidates) A minimum of two years of experience working in a Howmet Aerospace plant/facility
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt;
- Experience working with lean manufacturing.
- Ability to stand/walk for several hours each day;
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs on occasion;
- This is not a temperature-controlled work environment;
- May be required to wear PPE including eye and hearing protection, metatarsal safety boots.
- Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EH&S training.
- Partner with other functions within the facility to achieve business goals;
- Responsible for cost control and department budget to meet plant financial commitments;
- Prioritize, guide, and facilitate activities of the manufacturing function to meet department goals, initiatives, and requirements;
- Establish and maintain uniform manufacturing performance metrics and reporting systems;
- Actively work to introduce Lean Manufacturing concepts;
- Oversee the development of standard policies, procedures, and practices to ensure customer requirements are embodied in the manufacturing;
- Manage employee relations for the department;
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed;
- Lead improvements by promoting best practice methodologies and new technologies.
- Responsible for the training and development within group.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications;
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
- Ability to foster collaborative culture within team;
- May be required to work flexible hours including nights and weekends on occasion.
