About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Appian Tech Lead / Architect to drive the design, development, and delivery of Appian-based Business Process Management (BPM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Appian architecture, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering scalable enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of complex Appian BPM solutions.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and developers to translate requirements into technical designs.

  • Define Appian best practices, coding standards, and reusable components.

  • Provide technical leadership to Appian developers and ensure adherence to architectural standards.

  • Oversee integration of Appian applications with external systems (APIs, web services, databases, etc.).

  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide mentorship to junior team members.

  • Stay up to date with Appian product updates and BPM trends to recommend innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of total IT experience, with 5+ years of hands-on Appian development and architecture experience.

  • Strong experience designing and implementing Appian SAIL interfaces, process models, records, reports, and integrations.

  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Solution Architect on large-scale Appian implementations.

  • Expertise in Appian architecture, performance tuning, and deployment best practices.

  • Proficient with Appian plug-ins, Appian RPA, Appian Data Fabric, and Appian Cloud/on-prem environments.

  • Strong knowledge of BPM concepts, process optimization, and enterprise system integration.

  • Experience integrating Appian with REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and third-party systems.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Appian Certified Lead Developer or Appian Certified Architect certification.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Familiarity with Java, SQL, or other supporting technologies is a plus.

  • Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or healthcare domains preferred.
