Surenian, Edwards, Buzak & Nolan is a boutique law firm in beautiful Point Pleasant Beach seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team. Applicants should able to work in a fast paced environment and able to multi task.

Experienced Legal Assistant. The right candidate will have friendly personality, great communication skills, and the ability to write clear and concise letters. Position offers health insurance, paid vacation and holidays.

Legal Assistant Job Duties:

• Knowledge of Land Use and Zoning
• Knowledge of Tax Appeal work
• Experience in Wills and Estate Law
• Experience with Dictation
• Support Legal Team with legal research, drafting memos, pleadings, and preparing for hearings, and trials
• Preparation of documents for filing and scanning.
• Provides substantive billable legal working under the direction of one or more attorneys in the office
• Communicate with clients and other parties to provide updates and gather information
• Scheduling meetings, calls, luncheons, etc.
• Monitor case progress, deadlines, and important timeframes/milestones
• Draft documents, indexes, chronologies; prepare contracts; draft letters and court documents; complete legal forms; write reports
• Maintain and organize files
• Manage client relationships and work with experts
• Research laws and judicial decisions about current and past cases
• Basic data entry and update case management System
• Enter billable and non-billable hours in the Firm’s case management System
• Assist where needed

Legal Assistant Job Requirements:

· Ability to prioritize tasks

· Strong organizational skills

· Candidates must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), have superior organizational abilities, pay attention to detail, be proactive in nature, and have exceptional technology skills.

· Proficient in M.S. Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.

· Associates Degree
