Open to permanent NJDEP employees in a competitive title that work for the Fish and Wildlife Program and meet the requirements below. Description
Under the general supervision of an Administrative Analyst 4, Fiscal Management, or other supervisor, assists in supervising work activities involving planning and conducting management, statistical, organizational, fiscal, performance, and budget analyses of department programs; takes the lead in conducting cost benefit analyses and effectiveness surveys; where alternative programs are needed, assists in making evaluations and recommendations as required; does other related duties. Specific to the Position
Responsible for compiling and maintaining financial records to track and audit the spending of available resources, keep records of invoices, process purchase orders and payment vouchers to pay vendors. Oversee the Agency's P-Card program, review daily deposits for completeness, review daily credit card deposits and prepare necessary documents to post revenue, prepare calculations for fuel payments, review licensing agent ACH transfers and prepare documents/paperwork necessary to post weekly payments to the proper revenue accounts, and review and audit CR documents for field office deposits. Ability to communicate clear, accurate, and informative analyses, conclusions and recommendations. Ability to organize, maintain and prepare documents accurately and in accordance with state operating procedures. Candidate must be proficient in Business Objects, NJCFS and Excel. Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience. Seven (7) years of professional experience in work involving fiscal analyses and evaluation, budgeting, and management operations in government, business, and/or a management consulting firm, including or supplemented by twenty-one (21) semester hour credits in any combination of Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance courses. OR Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by twenty-one (21) semester hour credits in any combination of Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance courses; and three (3) years of the above-mentioned professional experience. OR Possession of a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance; and two (2) years of the above-mentioned professional experience. OR Possession of a doctorate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience NOTE: "Professional experience" refers to work that is creative, analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range and depth of specialized knowledge of the profession's principles, concepts, theories, and practices; and is performed with the authority to act according to one's own judgment and make accurate and informed decisions. NOTE: All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university. All foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date of this posting. Failure to provide documentation may result in ineligibility. License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
