Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced 3rd Shift PM Mechanic to join our team. In this critical senior-level role, you will handle predictive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure operations run smoothly during the day. You will work independently to provide mechanical and technical support, troubleshoot automated material handling systems, and perform on-site installation, servicing, and repair processes.
Responsibilities
- Respond and resolve service calls in a 700,000 sq. ft. distribution center.
- Provide mechanical and technical support and troubleshoot automated material handling system components.
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
- Utilize various tools and instruments for repairs and maintenance of conveyor systems.
- Assist in formulating preventative maintenance standards and work procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair material handling and pneumatic systems, automated conveyor systems, and key components.
- Support daily operations through inspections and maintenance activities.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including light plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and boom lifts.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing process/production equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues hands-on.
- Knowledge of hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, welding, and blueprint reading.
- Understanding of CMMS systems for work order and inspection documentation.
- Command of basic math skills for inventory and measurement conversion accuracy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Command of safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
- Previous operation of powered equipment, specifically Crown MHE, and industrial vehicles.
- Certified 5S experience and sortation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of shrink tunnels and PLCs is a plus.

Work Environment
This is a 3rd shift position (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM) with training required on 1st shift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Mon-Fri). The role involves frequent bending, lifting, walking, and working in extreme temperatures. You will report to the Lead Maintenance Technician and Facilities Manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
