We're seeking Mechanical Assemblers for a premier industrial furnace manufacturing company in the Westampton, NJ area
This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or candidates with electrical certifications, HVAC certifications or other skilled trades backgrounds, (such as carpentry, welding, plumbing) who are looking to start or grow a long-term career in advanced manufacturing.
Join a dynamic team where you will work in a clean shop environment, starting at 5 AM and committing to 50+ hours per week. You will gain experience across various departments, learning the assembly and build processes from start to finish. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure, with additional responsibilities determined by your experience or training.
Responsibilities
- Clean, break down, repair, and assemble furnaces and coils using chisels and hammers.
- Use hand and power tools to dismantle units by removing nuts, bolts, and supports.
- Assemble coils by attaching supports, sandblasting, applying epoxy or adhesive, and wrapping coils.
- Perform mechanical assembly of components into cabinets, following drawings or pictures.
- Conduct wire assembly and point-to-point wiring, using diagrams and installing wire harnesses.
- Build control panels to customer specifications, including installing wire channels and additional hardware.
- Work independently in a paint booth to mask, prep, and spray coils and furnaces.
- Perform mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems, including measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to perform repetitive labor duties and stand for entire shifts.
- Aptitude for training and learning on the job.
- Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions.
- Proficiency with power tools, saws, hand tools, and screw guns.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, and pipefitting is ideal.
- Experience in automotive mechanics, metal fabrication, carpentry, industrial painting, sandblasting, powder coating, and masonry.
- Brazing and soldering skills are a plus but can be taught.
- Preferred candidates have shop or manufacturing experience.

Join a state-of-the-art, fast-paced manufacturing facility with roughly 200 employees in the manufacturing department. The dress code requires work boots and work attire, with work shirts provided after a few weeks. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
